In my Christmas book haul I mentioned I didn't have room to put all of my books anymore so naturally one would think I'd stop buying them. HAHAHAHA THAT'S FUNNY. In this haul I have 5 new books to show you. Some of them have been floating around on my Instagram already, others are very very new.
When I'm not sure about a book, I opt to read it as an ebook first because a) it's cheaper and b) if I hate it I can just hit 'delete' and be done with it. I save heaps of money and shelf-space this way. Some of the ebooks I read were actually fantastic books that one day I'd want on my shelf for real and so I thought it was time I bought some.
Giveaway✿ Stone Field by Christy Lenzi
✿ Nowhere but Here by Katie McGarry
✿ Cassidy's Guide to Everyday Etiquette by Sue Stauffacher
✿ Underwater by Marisa Reichardt
In February I was lucky enough to win one of the giveaways during the Love-a-thon. I received the first half of my prize last month. To my surprise one of the books I received was SIGNED! I still can't quite believe it. Also: HARDBACK?! Uuuuugh I feel so lucky!
I don't know ANY of these books but I'm interesting to start them nonetheless. I might review some of these, who knows. Anyway, thanks Alexa for sending these to me and the others: Mel, Cee and Hazel for hosting this giveaway!
New books:✿ Calamity by Brandon Sanderson
I finally own it! I thought this release would get much more attention on social media but so far I haven't seen anything about this book?! Y'all need to read this trilogy right now. It's not my personal fave but the MC is funny and there's antiheroes and a lot of guns. I'm hoping for an epic showdown in this last installment. It probably won't be as epic as in The Hero of Ages but STILL. For those of you who are still very much into dystopian books: pick this one up. Or if you're a fan of Brandon Sanderson.

I already wanted a physical copy of Six of Crows after reading about 50 pages or so. That I would eventually end up with a beautiful hardcover edition (with the black page edges!) was a given. But I did wait over 2 years before I got Fangirl but that's because I couldn't justify buying it until recently. Back when I read this, I was all about "gotta read 'em all" and read as many books as I could back to back. Since last year I started appreciating the phenomenon called 'rereading', which changed my reading pattern and overall reading behavior a lot. I can make myself pick up a favorite book and read it again, without feeling guilty about it. It was time to pick up Fangirl and read it again, cuz it's still my favorite contemporary to this date. I think this reread will be interesting because I've changed a lot since Sept/Oct 2013.
Six of Crows is BIGGER than all my Shadowhunter books and those were already huge. But it's sooo pretty that I don't care about that at all. I got the collector's edition of Fangirl which has amazing fanart, a ribbon bookmark and an excerpt of Carry On (has anyone read that? should I get it?). Literally such a fancy edition that I can't stop looking at it.
My copy of Lady Midnight has a SIGNATURE OF CASSIE CLARE IN IT aaaaaaah. It's a stamp bUT STILL. Apparently only the first few copies have it so I feel super special. There's a Costco edition though and it has art on the inside of the dust jacket and why don't I live in the States again? I WANT IT.
